Your Photography Portfolio – Continue to Improve Your Landscape Photography Skills
We’ve all read the web sites that let us to use certain methodologies to improve our landscape photography portfolio and seascape photography talents, or to post process our pictures in a special way and just about all of these suggestions are intensely valid ones but after you understand the fundamentals there’s one extremely quick and easy way to enhance your photography portfolio and that is to head outside and just start taking photos to begin.
Sounds too simple? Well it is true, there is nothing like practise and lots of it to quickly boost and boost your talents. The other concept behind this idea is that the more you are out shooting the greater chance you have of capturing that ‘magic’ light that no-one else has managed to capture before. We’ve all heard the term that practise makes perfect and whilst I’m not claiming to be perfect I have actually discovered that the more I am outside shooting the more I’m thinking about shooting and the better I get.
When I first started out I could not see why I was not capturing any decent landscape pictures in 6 months I’d managed to capture perhaps three sellable photos. Ultimately it dawned on me after speaking to some pros that I just wasn’t getting out there enough firstly to enhance my abilities and secondly to improve my probabilities at capturing a great photo.
I quickly learnt I had to be more obsessive about there photography portfolio getting out there so I went from taking photos once every two to three weeks to living and respiring landscape photography and spending up to 10hrs a week taking footage. An extraordinary thing occurred my photography improved out of site and my portfolio expanded intensely quickly to the point I had a collection of photos that I was extremely proud of.
