Ritz Camera
Ritz Camera was a biggest specialty camera and photofinishing retailer in the America, hese stores offer a variety of photography services and products, including one-hour photofinishing, digital imaging, and equipment. The chain includes Ritz Camera & Image, Wolf Camera & Image, Kit’s Camera & Image, PROEX Photo & Portrait, Inkley’s, Cameras West, and the Camera Shop. In April 2009 it will close more than 300 stores nationwide as part of a court-supervised bankruptcy reorganization. The move will leave approximately 400 Ritz Camera stores still open around the country.
Daniel Platt, senior vice president, capital markets, for Great American Group, said, “Long-time Ritz Camera customers as well as those with any interest in cameras, photography and video-related products will find a tremendous selection of quality, brand-name merchandise at greatly reduced prices. Shoppers looking for distinctive and unique gifts will find these sales particularly appealing, as well.”
