Another tip I can give is to take other shot aside from the standard shots that you would normally take.Well, you can still take those standard photos like the photos of the bride and groom posing for you but the highlight of your album should be about moments in action.  As a San Diego photographer I am always thinking of ways to capture the same shots with different angles.That way you can capture the emotion of the event and you can tell the story of the event through the photos.You can have some hardship at first but by practicing you will perfect the trick.

Finally you want your photos to capture the event as something bigger than life.Because for the people involved in the event this day is bigger than life.  So as a San Diego event photography service I have learned doing big events how to do this.  In other words you don’t just want small pictures.  You have to learn to take the shots in a way that makes the moment so much bigger.

Well in my practice as a San Diego wedding photographer I do many weddings. And if you don’t know weddings are very important events.This is a day where there would be lots of joyful moments.  But also that day brings a lot of stress and pressure.And one job that can give a lot of pressure to a person is the job of capturing photos of the happy moments during that day.  And if you are proud of the work you do, you want your work to immortalize that day.  And the only way you can do that is if you get better. 

Practicing to take shots is one way to get better.  I don’t mean to practice at a paid wedding.  No, you should practice taking photos of weddings you don’t have pay in.That way you can take any shots you want and you can be creative.  I have done this many times as a San Diego photographer.Of course you can’t command the bride and groom to pose for you unless you know them well. But you can still take great pictures nonetheless.

Another way to improve your skills is to enter a photo competition.Competitions are a good way of bringing out the best in a person.  Contests are a great way for you to try and perform your best.And what’s good about this is that at the end of the competition you can gauge how you performed by comparing your work to other works. One of the best ways to stay organized for a wedding photo shoot is a timeline.A timeline would let you be prepared for all the important shots.It will also enable one to capture great moments of the wedding.So with that in mind here are some of the important things to do during a wedding.

First thing a photographer should do is to determine when he/she could take the family portrait of the couple.  As a San Diego wedding photographer I see that the timing of this is different for every wedding.Some people like to take pictures before the wedding happens.This will give them more time to do things during and after the wedding.Others prefer to do it during the wedding.You would perform better because you are more prepared if you just determine when the family would like to take the pictures.

Next, you should determine the exact starting time of the wedding itself.That would enable you to capture shots of the guests that are arriving.  As a San Diego photographer this is a great time to capture candid shots of your guests.  You will also be able to get everything ready for the big ceremony.

So here are some tips on capturing moments with your camera.

First of all you want to be able to anticipate.  For example if you are taking candid shots of people anticipation is key. That has been one of the secrets of taking great photographs as a San Diego photographer.  Because you would be more proactive rather than reactive when you know how to anticipate.  In other words, instead of reacting to what is happening you are actively involved.Because you might miss taking those shots if you are just reacting.You can take great photos if you would know how to anticipate.

Last tip would be to know the flow of events.  This has been key in my San Diego event photography business.  Because knowing when the events would happen you can get ready to take photos.  Because when you don’t know what is going on you can miss great photographs so easily.
